316 Stainless Steel

316 Stainless Steel Supplier

We offer 316/316L stainless steel of the highest quality approved for use in food, chemical, Pharmaceutical, salt water, and wastewater environments. Only 304 and its various derivatives are used more commonly than 316 and 316L. Grade 316 is the preferred choice even though 304 can be utilized; this is because 316 can be used in surgical rooms and is utilized in many applications. We carry Dura-Krome, our trademark material. Characteristics of 316/316L

  • Resistance to Oxidation The fact that both 304 and 316 are exceptionally resistant to rust is a fundamental factor that adds significantly to the popularity of these two alloys. They can maintain corrosion resistance for long periods. These two are most used because they are not only economical but also one of the most produced grades of stainless.
  • Resistance to corrosion and resistance to pitting Resistance to Corrosion and Pitting – It’s not always easy to distinguish between marine corrosion and corrosion in other contexts. This is because pitting develops due to corrosion occurring in a particular location on the metal. Regarding resistance to pitting and water, 316 stainless steel tends to last longer than 304 and most other stainless steel varieties. 316 stainless steel is available in many forms like sheet, plate, tube, pipe, flat bar, and round bar.

Where is 304 and 316 being utilized?

Aquatic Construction

Because it is resistant to corrosion and pitting, 316 is an excellent material for building projects near bodies of water along coastlines. Stainless steel 316 is a perfect choice for various applications, such as water treatment and chemical environments.

Biomedical Equipment

The grade of stainless steel, 316 is the material of choice. Because of its resistance to corrosion and malleability, 316 is not only a recommended choice for surgical materials but also an excellent option for use in biomedical equipment. These qualities make 316 a perfect choice for use in multiple applications.
