Nitronic 60

Nitronic 60 Steel Supplier & Features

Nitronic 60 is similar to both 304 and 316. The fact that it can withstand temperatures up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit and has an oxidation rate comparable to type 309 gives it a substantial advantage over 304. Cold working and annealing can provide higher tensile and yield strength.

Nitronic 60’s applications

Auto Industry

Nitronic 60 can withstand temperatures up to 1100 degrees Celsius. They are ideally suited for use in the auto industry because of their free machining and longer-lasting tool life.

Marine Shafts

Nitronic 60 is used on ships and in the marine industry. Because its corrosion qualities are superior to those of 304 and rival those of 316, Nitronic 60 can withstand interactions with freshwater, brackish water, and saltwater.

Corrosion of the fasteners

Nitronic 60 is a material that has a long lifespan and is capable of withstanding even the most difficult situations. When you have Nitronic 60 cold-rolled, you receive a metal that is strong, resilient, and capable of withstanding the most trying circumstances.

Pins –

Pins made of Nitronic 60, such as those found in prosthetics and chains, are ideal for these applications because they offer superior strength and corrosion resistance.

Expansion Joints for the Hangers –

Nitronic 60 offers toughness, ease of annealing, galling resistance, increased corrosion properties, and excellent values at cold temperatures. This metal is ideal for long-term impact applications such as hangers and bridges. Other advantages include improved corrosion resistance.
