Nickel 825 is practically used in every business because it is one of the most durable metals available on the market. It should come as no surprise that it is utilized in the following applications due to its superior qualities and the improved overall strength it confers (as compared to Nickel 800). Ameralloy Steel takes great pride in being the distributor of Nickel Alloy 825. If you have any questions regarding the metal or its composition, you may get answers to your questions from a company representative at any time.
Typical uses include nuclear waste management and reprocessing of nuclear fuel, chemical processing, air pollution, metal processing, offshore production, petroleum farming, and waste disposal.
Chemical Composition –
Because it is predominantly composed of Nickel, Iron, and Chromium, 825 are exceptionally resistant to chemical and nuclear corrosion. The range for nickel is 38-46, the iron capacity is 22+, the content for chromium is 19.5-23.5, and the scope for molybdenum is 2.5-3.5.
Corrosion Resistance –
The corrosion resistance is exceptional and ranks among metals with high nickel and chromium concentrations. Its excellent capabilities and long-term durability are two of the primary reasons for the extensive application of this material in nuclear processing as well as chemical plants.
Machinability –
When it comes to shaping and machining the metal, there is a degree of ease that may be improved upon in terms of pitting and stress corrosion cracking. This could be because pitting and stress corrosion cracking are common problems. As usual for nickel-base alloys, Alloy 825 can be shaped and welded in many ways.
